A little about myself: I am Armenian, and I am the first generation born in the United States in my family. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and raised in Southern California. I plan to set the way for future generations in my family. I am based in San Diego and have always been passionate about making people feel good about themselves. Ever since I was a little girl, I remember uplifting kids at school, making them feel included, and making sure they felt like they were smart or good enough when others around them did not. That eventually led into these recent years, where I noticed a lot more stigmatism and judgment on people's body type and size. I always had people around me that made me feel beautiful in my curves, and I noticed that there was a gap in the media, which made me want to take action and start my journey to helping others.
As I am refreshing my portfolio and my “about me,” I am listening to a podcast called Saved Not Soft by Emy Moore Brookins, and I can sit here and say that this and that is my purpose but the last few months, I have started a new journey of getting closer to God. My goal with this statement is to share with those who follow me, work with me, or want to get to know me that my “why” and my purpose are not coming from a selfish place. They are rooted in a life that has walked through hardship, one that has faced many ups and downs, but has been blessed with the strength and opportunity to slowly but surely rise out of them. Through this process, I’ve found my way to God, and now I am building my life on the strongest foundation I have ever known, my growing faith. Every step forward is a lesson, and every lesson is shaping me into the woman I am becoming grounded not in perfection, but in grace and purpose. With all that said, as I’ve gotten closer to God, the purpose I thought I had has only gotten stronger. My calling goes far beyond just modeling or working with amazing brands. I’ve started imagining a diagram of my life: it begins with modeling, moves into being a student, and eventually leads to law school all while helping others around me in any way possible. My platform is being built on that stable foundation so I can go above and beyond in the future. My purpose is to inspire and empower others by living authentically, showing that they can do the same, advocating for fairness and inclusion, and using my creativity, education, resilience, and faith to open doors both for myself and for those who will come after me.
